1940s Antique Victorian Brooch Carved Celluloid Flowers
This celluloid brooch is an exceptional heirloom piece! I’ve seen many old celluloid pins over the years but this unique flower bouquet is by far the most gorgeous I have ever seen! The flower bouquet design very unique and intricate and the light cocoa brown color is also very unique.
The shape of this brooch is an unusual urn shape. The celluloid has dimensional layers of leaves and scrolls. The center is graced with a blooming rose. In the background throughout the whole designs are tiny flowers.
The pin dates from the 1940s and it is not signed. The back has a 1940s C clasp closure.
The brooch is a nice large design that measures 2 1/4" tall x 2" wide. The entire piece is in pristine condition with no signs of wear, no dirt, and the celluloid retains the high gloss shine with no color fading. The back has a white area in the center, showing that this is an older type of mold blown celluloid.
Comes gift wrapped and shipped in a new presentation jewelry box.
