Solid clapper and it is very very loud when you shake the bell.
The handle is a bit wiggle but seems intact!
I would love to see how this bell was used by a teacher, because it is heavy, over 4 lbs..
The handle I believe, used to be black but someone painted it red as I have seen other handles with a number stamped but since it has been repainted, I can''t see a number
The diameter of the bell is 5 7/8".
