The carved bone hand spins across a wooden disc with numbers marked 0-9
This device was used to keep score in the card game of Whist, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Whist evolved into the the modern game of Contract Bridge. This counter is the Goodall type, and is highly collectable because of its elegant and functionally simple design.
2 1/4 in diameter and about 1 inch tall.
